About Titan Panel

Need helpDuring a discussion of addons someone pined that Titan Panel was nice but buggy. Well for those 2 of you who are not familiar with Titan Panel, it is an addon that acts as a host interface for lots of cool bandwidth hogging toys tools.

Used in moderation, Titan panel can really provide lots of helpful info. I love seeing how much amo I’ve got, what my gear’s durability is, and other easy to view details at a glance.

One hiccup with Titan Panel is that it’s easy to remove a component and break other parts. Another headache is that that it’s very hard to find the latest version of the core module.

At this stage of the game, I can’t help much with the right module, but I did find the link to a core install to get you started on a stable (tested) installation. Here it is.

I use Titan on all my toons — Bag, Durability Info, Location, Money, CritLine, Guild, and mBlacklist are all commonly found on my bar. I had to disable Honour + lately because it had this nasty habit of popping up an error every time I so much as moused-over a horde. Since I do use a mouse for WoW more often than nod, it became a huge pain in the rear.

I’ve found FuBar is much better/coded cleaner/etc… It’s object oriented, so you can add and remove plugins without killing anything and it uses the Ace2 embedded libraries, which are very stable, maintained, and aren’t actually a dependancy.
